In class on 15 July 2010

1E asked about 'girders' when we were looking at heat and its effects on bridges and girders. Here's a little more information to share:

    The rollers are resting in spaces meant for them, so when the girders expand or contract on the rollers, they roll in their own spaces without rolling around and out of the edge of the columns holding up the girders. I hope you can visualize it, otherwise you can always come and look for me, and I can draw it out for you. =)
