Breakfast with CTs
This was my very last "breakfast with CTs", and the last time I'm walking around school while it's so full of students and full of life... it is the last day of school and marks the end of my 5.5 years with the school. I will remember my colleagues and students fondly as these few years have been filled with wonderful memories.
I'm a little sorry for myself that I didn't get to have "breakfast with CTs" with my own class this year, as I was on maternity leave during the mid-year one while today, my students are already enjoying their post N-levels holidays. 4C'15, I wish you all the best in everything you do~ I'll see you when your results are released.
My teaching experience in this school has been enriching and incredible. Thank you everyone for the wonderful 5.5 years (actually almost 6 years if including my practicum) that I will not forget.
All the best for everyone!!

Remove distractions while walking
When you walk
- your eyes shouldn't be glued to the tiny screen in your hand.
- your ears shouldn't be plugged with the buds blasting music.
Click above to watch on YouTube what happens when one's walking with dangerous distractions.
Household Energy Consumption in kWh
Why is the joule not used as a unit of the total electrical energy used in an average household?
Joule is a very small unit for household electrical consumption and the numbers will become very large for calculation. It will be more convenient to calculate total electrical energy used in an average household using kWh.
Check out this BBC - GCSE Bitesize link on Practical Electricity - using kWh for household energy consumption.

Compounds
The links of these videos are shared in the sec 1 notes on Chapter 3 - Exploring Diversity of Matter by its Chemical Composition. Here are the YouTube videos on compounds for easy access.
And here's the Periodic Table Song.

Check this out for an interactive experience with a tangent to a circle.
We were talking about tangent to a circle in 3H on 27 January 2015, when discussing the total internal reflection in a semi-circular glass block.

Does diamond conduct electricity?
The answer is no. Diamond is hard and has high melting point, but it does not conduct electricity as there are no free electrons in diamond.
Read up more about the properties of diamond here.
